Shining Star Unit
Hello Everyone,
I’m getting geared up for the Fall and the Holidays. I am especially looking forward to Healing Connections, (my first one) and getting to meet a lot of AMTA members from Virginia. My nine months as President of the Shining Star has been a learning experience and I hope to learn more from the Presidents of the other AMTA Units as well as from our members.
I hope everyone had a great summer. During our 2008 Summer session, Shining Stars Unit highlighted speakers from Radford to Harrisonburg. I would like to thank Linda Cheek, Glenn Hakey, and Preston Trail.
Our July speaker, Linda Cheek gave us Seven Pillars of Healing.
August speaker Glenn Hakey presented Kinesio-Massage. Glenn is passionate about his work. It was shown in his presentation at the AMTA Meeting and during the Kinesio-Massage class. I have personally taken Kinesio-Massage I class and highly recommend it to others.
As summer comes to a close in September, Preston Trail continued his discussion of the King Solomon 22-Strand DNA Activation focusing on the 23rd and 24th Spiritual Strands (Adam Kadnon).
UPCOMING EVENTS
October 13, 2008 – Dr. Willem Roelofsen
Low Level Laser Therapy
Low Level Laser Therapy has been used world wide for over 40 years to relieve pain, remove scars, heal wounds, regenerate nerves and generally facilitate healing of the soft tissue matrix of the body. Specifically, Low Level Laser Therapy works at the cellular level to stimulate the production of a chemical known as ATP (Adenosine Tri-phosphate) in the cell’s mitochondria. ATP in our body is like gasoline in a car and all of our body’s activities result from the “burning” of ATP. With more ATP at the cellular level, tissues heal faster, and relief comes quicker.
Dr. Roelofsen, whom we affectionately refer to as Dr. Bill, is a chiropractor in the Roanoke Valley who studied at the Palmer Institute of Chiropractic Medicine and a graduate of Virginia Military Institute. With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Roelofsen is an individual of high esteem and devotion to his patients.
